I’ve taken a bit of a cue from Tiny Kitten Teeth, and have resolved to post mix tapes on a monthly basis. Here’s the first, let me know what you think:
Hey everyone! I just want to thank you all for sticking with us this year, and wish you all a really happy Christmas. Go eat something.
Also: I made my grandmother these tree ornaments. I was really pleased with how they turned out.
(As always, click the image to get a better view)
I’m including the printable version here,
so you can make your own if you so desire.
Finally, I wanted to point out some of my favorite internet Christmas Specials this year.
Okay, so in the Venn Diagram of Cooking and Webcomics, I’ve discovered a neat little project that could use some support. “Webcomics: What’s Cooking?” is a cookbook in comics form, created by a slew of big-name webcomic artists. The proceeds from the project will be donated to Canadian and American food banks. But before the book can become a reality, they need $4000 to cover publishing costs. That’s where you can help.
There’s a Kickstarter Page for the project. Go check it out, there’s some pretty cool incentives for the people who donate. Including comic books, and also handmade mugs?
Anyway, check it out. It looks pretty cool!
Wow that video is terribly 90s you guys… Sorry about that…
Totally late on this one, but HEY, turns out that it’s Bill Nye’s birthday today. That is really kinda weird, considering how much time the Bill Nye Hand Puppet is getting around here of late. This was not planned.
Anyway, I put this up in the Downloads page last week, but it’s more apropos today:
EDIT: I guess I should add that I learned this information from BrainyQuote.
“Humor is everywhere, in that there’s irony in just about anything a human does.”
Hey people! Sorry about the scheduling upset this week. I humbly avert my gaze and assure you it was Alan’s fault.
I’m making up some labels for my landlord’s jam this evening. While looking for reference pictures of crab apples, I came across this attempt at a culinary pun. I thought it was rather witty, and y’know, it might be good. To be honest the thought of crab, cheese and apples in one dish isn’t really jiving with me, but I’ll try most things once.
